In your light, I learn how to love.
In your beauty, how to make poems.
You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you,
but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi

In the depths of winter, we must learn to tend our own light, to spark, and grow, and flame. This special class honors the ancient Imbolc – a time of year that honors the growing fire, the creative fire, the spiritual fire within each of us.

You’ll practice a series of Kundalini Yoga kriyas to ignite the inner light, grow the flames, and keep them burning for these long nights. These practices balance the nervous system, glandular system for an overall sense of well being physically, mentally, emotionally. These are very powerful practices especially for seasonal affective disorder.

Throughout the kriya, Nicole will be reading poetry from the great mystics: Rumi, Hafiz, Kabir, Mira, St. Theresa of Avila, and more. Their words are like candles that we may light our own from. They carry the direct connection to the divine, with no emissary. They are beacons whose words can evoke a feeling of God/Goddess in the body, here and now.

This powerful combination of Kundalini Yoga and the words of the mystics will weave art and yoga for a powerful experience of your own sacredness to honor this powerful season.

Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, “you owe me”. Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky.” —Hafiz

When love is viewed as a transaction, everyone loses. When we tune in to love being the essence of our being, and something that we cannot give or receive, but rather something we are, we uplift ourselves and everyone around us.

This workshop aims to invoke a feeling of love truly opening in the body. We’re cultivating a felt sense of the open heart, the eternal flow of love that moves through us all.

We’ll dive into some powerful practices from Kundalini Yoga for the heart center, the arlcline, aura, and more. This practice can gently peel away the layers of heartache, heartbreak, pain, trauma, drama in order for love to spring forth once again. It can pull us out of the transactional patterns around love that keep us feeling lack, grief, resentment, loneliness, and more.

This beautiful experience is perfect for cultivating self-love, compassion, depth and care in existing relationships. It can also be a powerful magnetizing practice for those not in relationships, but would like to be. Come ready to receive whatever love medicine you crave.

This workshops lands between two eclipses. This is a powerful gateway. Eclipses want us to change for the better. They have our backs. They shift us out of old habits that are greatly inhibiting your growth. And this moon is ripe for courageous care, deep shifts in the heart, and powerful expressions of love. Come let love revolutionize YOU!

Aquarian Age Kundalini

Revolutionary practices for a changing world.

According to Kundalini Yoga, we are experiencing a transition to the Age of Aquarius, an age wherein revolutionary changes will take place. The earth’s magnetic fields are shifting, information is pushed towards us at warp speed, and consciousness is developing faster than ever. It can be a time of intense stress and destruction as old structures fall away to make room for what is being birthed. One of the biggest threats internally of this time is what Yogi Bhajan called “cold depression”, a sense of being isolated, numb, and cut off from Spirit or your own inner light.

In this workshop, we’ll address some of the effects of these massive changes on the individual and the collective. We’ll also practice kriyas and meditations to help alleviate the stress of this time.

It’s as if a tidal wave is moving through. We can either be on top of it, surfing, harnessing the powerful energy that is raising all boats. Or, we can be on the bottom of the wave, feeling crushed and powerless. Our work in this special class is to make you a powerful light bearer in this time, to balance the glandular system and the nervous system so you can hold the massive doses of extremely high vibrational energy coursing through. Riding this wave and harnessing this force, your creativity can hit an all time high, your radiance can glow brighter than it ever has, you can rise into your dharma, the work you came here to do.

Full Moon Kundalini: Self Healing + Regeneration

Saturday, March 3rd
12:15 – 2:15pm

Center for Performing Arts
$35
PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED: Register Here

The first of two full moons in March brings us a special opportunity for turning inward to understand what is moving in us, what is ready to be birthed this spring? It’s also a powerful time to create space for what is growing. We’ll align with the powerful energy of this Virgo full moon for deep level, self-healing. This mini-retreat will offer you the chance to move deeply within to discover your innate wholeness, which can ultimately bring healing on every level.

Weeks before the spring equinox, we are preparing to emerge from the depths of winter darkness. We are slowly growing towards more light and expansion. We’ll use this powerful time of year to illuminate that which is ready to be brought forward into day, that which is ready to be seen and known and manifested.

Practice a powerful kriya and meditations for self healing + regeneration, reconnect to the rhythms of the earth as we move towards the spring equinox, and experience a deeply healing gong bath.

“Let mystery have its place in you; do not be always turning up your whole soil with the plowshare of self-examination, but leave a little fallow corner in your heart ready for any seed the winds may bring, and reserve a nook of shadow for the passing bird; keep a place in your heart for the unexpected guests, an altar for the unknown God. Then if a bird sing among your branches, do not be too eager to tame it. If you are conscious of something new – thought or feeling, wakening in the depths of your being – do not be in a hurry to let in light upon it, to look at it; let the springing germ have the protection of being forgotten, hedge it round with quiet, and do not break in upon its darkness.”

― Henri-Frédéric Amiel

Blue Moon Kundalini

Saturday, March 31st
12:15 – 2:15pm

Center for Performing Arts
$35
PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED: Register Here

The second full moon of March gives us a rare blue moon! Harness the energy of this lunar event to bring in some sweetness and sustainable calm. With the planets lined up as they are for this Libran moon, we have an opportunity to create a sustained sense of peace, harmony, and well-being.

Yogi Bhajan spoke at length of the every increasing pressure we’d be experiencing on the nervous system during this time. Our systems are stressed to the max! And you might be feeling it in spades during this moon. This is a powerful time to use this pressure, and turn yourself into a diamond. According to the yogis, energy is energy. And we can use this amplified energy from the stars and planets to catapult our growth.

It is a great power to be able to hold a space of calm, resiliency, compassion, and intuition in a world that feels like it’s spinning out of balance. This blue moon / Libra full moon is the perfect opportunity to embrace the chaos, and within it, build a temple of love called YOU.

PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED: Register Here

A new moon in Taurus calls for epic self love. This period of time is called the dark moon, perfect for resting, dreaming and feeling vast and open. Taurus energy wants us to feel deep self worth, grounded in the body. When we deeply understand our worth, abundance flows to us. This shining lunar weekend is all about giving ourselves what we need.

We’ll practice kriyas and meditations for balancing the major organ systems of the body, balancing the nervous system and glandular system and inviting the healing force of kundalini to flow through the body. These powerful practices of Kundalini Yoga allow the message of worth to be received on a deeper level than normal affirmations or self care can reach. These practices are profound, rooted in the nervous system.
